I’m Lois Little, owner of Looks Salon, and I’m excited to share our journey with you.

At Looks Salon, we offer more than just hair services; we provide a luxurious experience where you can unwind, recharge, and leave feeling your best. Our expert stylists customize hair colors to enhance your unique beauty, ensuring every client gets a look tailored just for them.

From the Beginning After graduating from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, I spent five years perfecting my craft in top salons. I dreamed of creating a salon where clients felt truly comfortable, so on December 31, 1999, I took a leap of faith, signing my first lease for a windowless industrial space. With my father and a skilled contractor, we transformed it into something special. When we finally opened, it marked the start of an incredible journey rooted in passion, creativity, and a commitment to an unmatched client experience.

That same year, I was invited to work as a colorist for a global hair company, which allowed me to travel, train, and collaborate with top professionals. For five years, I balanced teaching and running my business before expanding in 2004. We introduced tanning and spray tanning, making Looks Salon a one-stop beauty destination. After 11 years, I refocused on my true passion—hair transformations. Now, after 10 and a half years at our Seco Road location, we proudly celebrate 25 years in business!

Why I Love This Industry Hair styling is my creative outlet. The beauty industry constantly evolves with new techniques and trends, keeping our work exciting. But the true joy comes from the connections we build and the confidence we inspire. Studies show that hair dissatisfaction impacts self-esteem, so seeing clients leave feeling beautiful and renewed is our greatest reward. The friendships I’ve built over the years are priceless, and it’s more than just hair—it’s about making people feel their best.

A Love Story at the Salon One of my favorite salon stories is how I met my husband, Jake Lyle. Years ago, he came in for a haircut late one evening. After we moved locations, we lost touch, but years later, he reappeared. My coworker secretly texted him, suggesting he ask me out—and the rest is history! Jake is my best friend, the most brilliant man I’ve ever met, and my biggest supporter. Together, we’ve built a beautiful life, from home renovations to outdoor adventures. He keeps me grounded and brings my dreams to life.
