A Heartwarming Update on the Ellerbrock Family and their Newest Addition

Big Sister Ivy is now 2 years old.
It’s been just over a year since Dylan and Ciara Ellerbrock moved to Muirfield Village with their then-two-month-old daughter, Ivy. Since then, they’ve welcomed another daughter, Georgia, into the family.
For Ciara, a former teacher-turned-stay-at-home mom, and Dylan, now an asset management-equity analyst at Diamond Hill, the growth of their family reflects the reasons they chose to make Muirfield Village their home. Being able to watch their two girls grow and discover themselves in a nurturing environment brings joy and wonder to the everyday.
Ivy, who is now 2 years old, loves to play with her kitchen set and toddler-sized cleaning toys. She and Georgia both love to be read and sung to. Ivy especially loves Eric Carle’s books and any books with fun illustrations. She is also quite active, participating in dance/toddler time at Dublin Dance Center and Gymnastics as well as swimming lessons at Aqua-Tots.
Though the size of their family may have changed, the Ellerbrocks have kept many of their favorite activities and traditions. They remain active members of St. Brigid of Kildare, attending Mass every Sunday. While familiar with their neighborhood now, they still enjoy trying new food on the weekends. The Ellerbrocks love ordering a variety of pizzas, sushi, pastas, or food from any restaurant they’ve never tasted. Some of their favorite local spots include Sushi.com, Mezzo, Ginger Thai Asian Bistro, Fado, and North Market.
As for family traditions, every year on the day before Christmas Eve, the Ellerbrocks make seafood and a huge charcuterie board for dinner before going home to visit family/in-laws. The following day, they’ll make Grinch cinnamon rolls with green frosting for breakfast. The family also enjoys watching the OSU vs. Michigan game every year, especially as Ciara is a fan of the former and Dylan is loyal to the latter. In the summer, the Ellerbrocks take advantage of the warm weather by traveling to the Florida or South Carolina beaches. Their favorite family vacation spot is Folly Beach, South Carolina.
When they’re not traveling or trying new foods, Ciara loves taking the girls to the park or any scenic walking trail in Columbus. She also enjoys cooking new healthy recipes, shopping, and trying new wines. Dylan enjoys working out, analyzing stocks and spending time with the family.
After over a year of being Muirfield Village residents, the Ellerbrocks can confidently say that their favorite part about the community is meeting their neighbors, who have been incredibly kind and fun to talk to. They consider it a blessing when they run into other couples who also have young children. Whether it’s taking part in the social scene or crossing paths with people on the trails, the Ellerbrocks are always encouraged to see everyone’s smiles.
When Dylan and Ciara first arrived at Muirfield Village, they brought with them hopes for a home to grow their family. Having grown up in northwest Ohio, the two find it special that they now have the opportunity to raise their own daughters in such a wonderful, beautiful community.
