Just like the loveable cocker spaniel from Lady and the Tramp, Daisy the golden retriever came to the Cerar household as a Christmas present in 2022. She has continued to deliver her special brand of family entertainment ever since.

“Daisy has a knack for creating mischief,” says Daisy’s human, Sarah Cerar. She excels, sort of, at helping with household chores. “One of her favorite things to do is to find socks, often snatching them from the laundry and hiding them in the most unexpected places throughout the house,” says Sarah. Who needs teenagers? 

At mealtimes, Daisy is always willing to lend a paw. “Her cooking skills leave much to be desired,” says Sarah. Fortunately, Daisy excels at specific kitchen tasks, which Sarah is proud to share. “She is an expert at cleaning the floor, always ready to swoop in and tidy up any crumbs or spills.” If any salami is available, she is always happy to gobble up her favorite treat as a thank you for her assistance.

Like any creature of habit, Daisy is particular about her surroundings. “I am always putting Daisy’s blanket away,” says Sarah. “And she is always pulling it right back out. And then I put it away again, she takes it out. It goes on all day.” She also has a preferred spot for her favorite toys. Spoiler alert—it’s not in her toy bin!

Outside the house, Daisy loves boating and being on the water. Her pooch pal, Bear, lives just two doors down on Quin Abbey Court West. “Daisy and Bear love to run, jump and wrestle,” says Sarah.

Sometimes Daisy’s outdoor enthusiasm gets the best of her. “She once jumped off the top of a children's swing set, which led to a trip to the vet for x-rays,” Sarah recalls. Luckily, nothing was broken. “Another time, she cut her leg on an unknown object, requiring 25 stitches and several trips back to the vet.” 

Daisy’s adventures and mishaps are all part of the package, and she never lets a little accident dim her spirits. “She bounces back with her usual enthusiasm, ready for the next adventure,” says Sarah. 

The sweet pup has endeared herself to everyone. “We absolutely adore Daisy for her gentle and loving nature,” says Sarah. “Her affection is truly heartwarming, and she has a way of making everyone feel loved.” The playful pooch never fails to brighten everyone’s day. “Daisy’s sweet and amusing personality fills our home with joy,” says Sarah.
