If you hear laughter and giggling coming from any park in the neighborhood, there’s a good chance it’s 8-year-old Ruby Wilson.

A soon-to-be third grader at Deer Run Elementary, Ruby leads a full and lively life with her family in Muirfield Village. She loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s running around the local parks, swimming laps in the pool, or exploring trails on her bike. An enthusiastic young athlete, she is involved in activities such as cheer, softball, and golf.

At school, Ruby’s favorite subject to study is history and she dreams of becoming a doctor one day.

Beyond sports and the outdoors, Ruby has a passion for drawing and her artwork likely features plenty of purple, her favorite color. Some of her other favorite things include giraffes and pizza.

When it comes to entertainment, Ruby’s current favorite movie is Snow White (the 2025 release) and she enjoys watching Bluey at home. She is also a fan of Taylor Swift and Lainey Wilson’s music.

It’s no surprise that Ruby and her family love camping together - a passion that clearly inspires her own love of the outdoors. The Wilsons also frequently travel to Disney World and Oklahoma City.

A true Ohioan, Ruby proudly cheers for the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes, while also rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners.  

With her endless curiosity and love for both adventure and creativity, Ruby brings a brightness to the neighborhood that makes it a little more special for everyone around her.
