Introducing Lola, our Fur-Friendly neighbor!

Lola the Boston Terrier is described by her family as a “people person,” or a “people dog,” if you will, and upon first encountering her friendly demeanor, it’s easy to see why.

Steve and Andrea Mallinson had been looking for a Boston Terrier to add to their growing family, and their search led them to a local breeder in Lancaster, Ohio, where they met Lola. She was the only female in her litter and while all her brothers had outgoing personalities, Lola was very shy. Though the Mallinsons will tell you now that is no longer true.

Now six years old, Lola has developed many hobbies and interests. She loves to go on big walks with the Mallinsons, especially in Glacier Ridge Metro Park and enjoys swimming in baby pools. She also loves barking and biting bubbles from their daughter, Finley's bubble machine. Lola’s favorite treats include cheese, which she is the biggest fan of, as well as bones from Trader Joe’s and a good pup cup from Graeter’s.

As the Mallinsons have gotten to know Lola, they’ve gotten to know the traits and quirks that make her special. Lola can sit and “shake hands,” is the “gassiest” dog they’ve ever owned, and perhaps most endearingly, is also a great sport about dressing up for Halloween. In the past, she has been a bumble bee and a hot dog and loves greeting trick-or-treaters.

Despite all her interests and her friendly demeanor, Lola is also always down for a snuggle on the couch. In fact, one of the Mallinsons favorite things about her is that she can be as active or as lazy as they want her to be, which makes for great companionship no matter the activity.

As Steve and Andrea’s first baby, Lola’s presence in their lives has had significant meaning, and she’s accompanied them through many of life’s big journeys. She’s been boating with the couple to Lake Erie, to Chicago for July 4th, and to many breweries and patios. She was also there to welcome Finley when she arrived into the world. Needless to say, Lola is so loved and the Mallinsons know they can count on her to be there for many more major family milestones to come.
