Springtime is bursting with events celebrating everything from bridal and baby showers, graduations, birthday bashes, and the Memorial Golf Tournament. Wouldn’t it be great to have someone you could work with to help craft a menu, prepare delicious food that is easy to serve, beautifully presented, and leaves a lasting impression?

Let me introduce you to an amazing new catering business called Pasillas Catering.  Created by two brothers, Manny and Carlos Pasillas, it is a division of Azteca Mexican Grill located in Powell, Ohio. They offer French, American, and Mexican cuisine developed from many years of food, restaurant, and catering experience. They did a soft launch of their catering business for us in February. Our wonderful wait staff for the evening, Justin and Berta pleasantly surprised us by dressing in their finest black and white attire. We knew this was going to be a great night! 

For starters, we looked over an extensive drink menu that offers your choice of spirits. Most of us chose the jumbo house margaritas, which delivered a balance of sweet and sour with a hint of saltiness. Next, we explored what Chef Carlos Pasillas and his team had been up to in the kitchen. They set up a table filled with a variety of delicious bites, including Hawaiian chicken kabobs, Swedish meatballs, trays of international cheeses with crackers, fresh vegetables served alongside dips, finger sandwiches, shrimp cocktail, plus an eye-catching display of fresh fruit skewers. On top of that, our servers, Berta and Justin, butlered trays of handcrafted hot and cold hors d’oeuvres. 

Pasillas Catering delivered an unforgettable experience and they will for you too. The year 2026 looks to be a big year for the Pasillas family as they start their catering business plus another surprise – they are planning to have their own food truck!
