Artist Andrew Lee

If you haven't checked out the fantastic work of our neighbor, Andrew Lee, now is the time. Andrew Lee Designs was born in 2013. Andrew has always loved drawing and was mentored by Joe Dyer, an art teacher at Auburn High School, as well as several other local art teachers. But, in so many ways, Andrew is self-taught, and his talent is incredible.

Becoming a sporting and wildlife artist grew out of his love for the outdoors. Initially a hobby, creating a business of his art has been a process. First, he started selling pieces as gifts, which led to commissions. Then, with a leap of faith, he left his full-time position at Auburn University to grow Andrew Lee Designs.

Andrew’s art encompasses several mediums, including wood, leather and paper goods, and all are created by hand. Andrew and his wife, Whitney, spend lots of time participating in expos and events to promote Andrew’s talents. To name a few, he has been featured at Southern Makers in Montgomery, AL, and Double Decker Arts Festival in Oxford, MS. In 2020, he was the featured guest artist for the Gray’s Sporting Journal booth at the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, SC.

Andrew has been featured in several major publications as well, including Covey Rise magazine, Garden and Gun magazine, and Sporting Classics magazine. His work was also featured in James Farmer’s book, A Place to Call Home.

Andrew, Whitney and their two boys, John Henry and Matthew, have lived in Moore's Mill since 2018. They love their beautiful, wooded lot and their quiet street. When not working in his home studio, Andrew enjoys hunting, outdoor photography and golf.
