We are a local State Farm Insurance Agency that focuses on Auto/Home/Life and Health Insurance.  We offer auto/home/renters/life/health insurance through State Farm Insurance. State Farm is the #1 Auto/Home and Life Insurance Company in North Carolina as well as in the United States.  

On a daily basis, we help people recover from unexpected events and protect the things that are most important to them, such as their loved ones, homes, property, and vehicles. 

I started this business on November 1, 2005, because I wanted to have the ability to help people, protect their assets, and do it at a local level, where I could impact people in a positive manner.

We have a great product and great customers who have supported us. Since the beginning, I have always been aggressive in our advertising and desire to grow the business, and our wonderful customers have responded and supported us.  We try to tell people that we have great rates and a fantastic company that we represent, but our amazing team members are the difference.  We train, and we talk about how we can make our customers' experience better and how we can make a difference in our community.  Also, we have offices in Viewmont and Springs Road in Hickory that make it more convenient to work with us.

I was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. My wife, Ellen, and I moved here in 2004, and at that time, our boys were 4 and 5 years old.  We now have three children.

Lance Jr. is an attorney who lives in Birmingham, AL. 

 Andy played baseball and graduated with a business degree and a master's degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University, and he now works at one of our two State Farm offices.  

Our daughter, MaryElla, is a Senior at Hickory Christian Academy (HCA).  She plays volleyball and has accepted a volleyball scholarship to continue her career at Young Harris College in Georgia.

I attended college on a football scholarship at The Citadel.  I graduated with a BS in Business Administration in 1992.  I was blessed to be inducted into the Citadel Hall of Fame last year in 2024. I also played in the CFL (Canadian Football League) for the Saskatchewan Roughriders for 3 seasons.

My athletic career has prepared me for my business career as I learned discipline, hard work, how to win, and how to lose.  All of that has helped mold me into the person that I am today.

I am involved in my kids' athletic activities, and my wife and I like to go to the beach and the mountains. I like gardening, and I enjoy hanging out with my wife and kids.
