When I lived in Florida, I discovered James Griffith Salon, known for its excellence, and I knew I wanted to be part of the best. I approached James and asked him how to excel in my new career. He advised me to embrace every educational opportunity I could find, emphasizing that mastery takes time—about ten years. I developed my skills under James Griffith for 14 years and pursued extensive training. I learned cutting techniques from icons like Jerome Lorette in New York City and Candy Shaw in Buckhead, Georgia. Additionally, I trained in Paris with Jacques Dessange and Alexander de Paris and studied color with L'Oréal Paris at the Soho Academy and in California. This experience helped me build an exclusive clientele that valued my unique approach.

My entrepreneurial journey began after losing my home in Hurricane Helene and my job at the salon, which shut down for cleanup. Without a home and unable to work, my boyfriend, living in Hickory, encouraged me to join him. With my car packed full of salvaged belongings and my beloved dog and cat by my side, I transitioned here and have called it home ever since. Motivated by my journey, I created my own business, transforming adversity into an opportunity to provide exceptional, personalized services.

When my clients come to me for their hair services, my approach is centered on personalized consultation and education. I prioritize understanding their lifestyle and hair expectations to provide tailored advice that works for them. I guide them on effective hair care routines that align with their daily activities, ensuring they can easily maintain their style at home. Additionally, I introduce them to exceptional products from Leonor Greyl Paris and teach them how to use them to achieve salon-quality results.

I offer insights on maintaining their color and haircut and advise on the appropriate frequency of appointments to keep their hair looking its best. My goal is to empower clients with the knowledge and skills they need to feel confident and beautiful in their hair every day.

Today, my family includes my boyfriend Brandon and his son Brody, Sheldon the dog, and Ferne the cat. Together, we embrace the vibrant community of Hickory, where I continue to pursue my passion for hairdressing while building a fulfilling life.
