Summer is here!!

I am so excited that it is summer now! My last day of school was May 23rd!
Our spring ballet this year was Cinderella at Hickory Ballet & Performing Arts. I got to play the part of a court maiden. We danced around and tried to steal the shoe from the prince’s page because we wanted to marry the prince! It was a fun dance, and I liked my costume. I will share some pictures here!
We had dress rehearsals the full last week of school, and then performances on the last day of school  and into Memorial Day weekend.
The end of the school year is a big time for students. In North Carolina, students from 3rd grade and up take EOGs, or End-of-Grade tests, which are very important. Sometimes, tests make me nervous! This is my second year taking EOG tests.
My test tips are:
Test Tip #1. For reading comprehension questions, I recommend starting by reading the questions first and then looking for the answers in the passage. Then your eyes will know which topics to search for when reading.
Test Tip #2. If you have a question you are unsure about the answer, instead of wasting time worrying about it, I like to put my best guess, then flag it and keep working to finish the test and then, if I have time, I can go back and look over the flagged questions. And sometimes the answer shows up later on in a question!!
Test Tip #3. Take your time! The test is not a race. Do not worry about how quickly other people are finishing the test.
Test Tip #4. Get a good sleep the night before the test, and make sure to eat some breakfast! I don’t love breakfast food but sometimes I like yogurt parfaits or maybe some sausages and fruit!
