European Vacation 2.0
London and Paris!
The Churchill War rooms
For the second summer in a row, our entire family decided to vacation together in Europe. Italy 2024 was wonderful for us, but this year we focused on London and Paris.
We began in London and were able to visit several highlights, including Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, Churchill War Rooms, a Thames cruise, shopping at Harrods, and a visit to Buckingham Palace. In addition, the London visit was extra special as our children got to meet the children of our lifelong, 4th-generation friends who live in England.
From London, we rode the Eurostar to Paris. While in Paris, our children enjoyed a private, guided scavenger hunt through The Louvre. We also enjoyed a private tour of Notre Dame, a Seine cruise, and a workout while walking in Montmartre. An evening visit to the Eiffel Tower was extra special and made even more fun by packing 13 of us into a taxi van.
We ventured to Versailles for a day, and that was another gorgeous highlight for our family. Lily and Eva Grace said it was their favorite area we visited.
We are very fortunate to have our family in North Carolina, which makes it much easier to travel together. A lot of friends have asked how our vacation was… It was an action-packed, educational tour.
