Congratulazioni Chuck, Joanne & Sammy Jo Ciuni!!

Music Soirée VI was spectacular!

Another wonderful soirée held at the Miromar Lakes clubhouse on April 16th was very captivating by the delightful sounds of various piano and vocal performances. The recital was brought to an end with an outstanding performance by Sammy Jo to Chuck Ciuni, when she sang a beautiful rendition of "O Mio Babbino Caro."  Bravo Sammy Jo!!

This was the last of the series graciously put together by Joanne Ciuni. It is clear her strong belief in this young group of international students from FGCU was worth her many efforts.  Joanne successfully rallied support from her neighbors not only with financial contributions but also spearheaded bicycle contributions for those in need of easy transportation.

Also in attendance was Michael Baron, D.M.A., Distinguished Professor of Music & Head of Keyboard Studies at the Bower School Of Music & The Arts at FGCU.  Dr. Baron not only teaches the students but also travels with them in their many performances across the US.  The students come to us from six different countries - Peru, Indonesia, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba and Columbia and five of the students are graduating with a full fellowship to some of the most prestigious schools across the country. In between their performances at Miromar Lakes, they've performed at hospitals, schools, in Reno and Carnegie Hall, just to name a few and plan to perform at summer festivals in Houston, Maine and New York.
Hats off to this wonderful group of talented students, Sammy Jo, Joanne and Chuck!
