Slow Cooker Asian Sesame Meatballs

Sweet, rich and delicious

Ingredients
 
  • 1 pound ground beef 1 pound ground pork 2 whole eggs
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chives chopped salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce 4 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 additional cloves of garlic, minced sliced green onions for garnish Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
 
Instructions
 
1. Add ground beef, pork and eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic, chives to a large bowl
 
2. With your hands or spoon mix to combine. DO NOT OVER MIX
 
3. Roll into 24 meatballs
 
4. Heat a large skillet with oil, add meatballs and brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes on each side. You do not want to cook the meatballs, just brown them
 
5. Meanwhile, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sweet chili sauce, sesame oil & garlic...Set aside
 
6. Add the brown meatballs to the slow cooker and top with soy sauce mixture
 
7. Cook on low for two hours. stir gently a couple of times making sure not to break up the meatballs

8. Serve with green onions and sesame seeds for garnish.
