Supplies:
Parchment paper
wild bird seed
clear gelatin
water
cookie cutters
straw
ribbon
mixing bowl
whisk
baking sheet
Directions:
1. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Place cookie cutters onto the baking sheet.
3. Pour 2-3 cups of wild bird seed in mixing bowl, set aside.
4. In another mixing bowl, pour in clear gelatin mixture. Add hot water to activate and whisk together until the powder dissolves.
5. Pour the gelatin mixture into the bowl with bird seed and mix together. Place in refrigerator for about 5 minutes.
6. Spoon the bird seed mixture into the cookie cutters.
7. Cut the straws into small pieces. Place them about 1/2 from the top of each cookie cutter and push all the way through.
8. Place the entire baking sheet in the refrigerator and let sit overnight, or at least 8 hours.
9. When you take them out, gently remove the cookie cutters and straws. Place ribbons of your desired length through the holes and tie a knot at the top.
10. Once the bird feeders are dry, they are ready to hang outside for birds to enjoy!
