At just two years old, Dakota the Mini Bernedoodle has already captured plenty of hearts in Lake Forest. Adopted as a puppy from Freedomtails, Ohio, Dakota quickly became a beloved member of the Wayne family, and a constant source of energy, entertainment, and tail wags.

One of Dakota’s favorite pastimes is playing with her brother, Maverick. Together, the two spend hours watching squirrels dart across the yard and perch outside the windows. Sometimes, the curious squirrels even peek back inside, searching for Dakota and Maverick, which never fails to send Dakota into a burst of excitement.

Dakota is also a big sports fan. As soon as her family pulls out an Otters jersey, she knows exactly what it means — a trip to the ballpark. She loves tagging along to watch baseball and cheering on her favorite player from the stands, making game days extra special.

At home, Dakota’s energetic personality shines. She loves to play tug-of-war and is always ready for a game, no matter the time of day. Her family says one of the things they love most about her is that playful spirit — she’s always up for fun and keeps everyone smiling.

When it comes to treats, Dakota has a clear favorite: a good pup cup. And she even has a special talent to show off — standing up on her hind legs, something she does so often it’s become one of her signature moves.

With her playful energy, sweet personality, and love for adventure, Dakota is truly a precious pet and a perfect addition to the Wayne family.
