Meet Harper Huhn!

A Young Achiever with Big Dreams

Eighteen-year-old Harper Huhn has called our neighborhood home for the past 15 years, and in that time, she’s become a shining example of dedication, creativity, and ambition. A recent graduate of Highlands Latin School, Harper has worn many hats: award-winning competitive dancer, student leader, drama troupe performer, and musician.
From a young age, Harper’s talents were unmistakable. “I was always dancing around the house as a toddler,” she recalls. Recognizing her passion, her parents enrolled her in ballet classes at age three. Soon after, she began competing with The Vision Dance Center, where she and her team racked up an impressive list of accolades—including four gold medals at The Dance Worlds for jazz and contemporary routines, along with several national championship titles.
After a decade of competitive dance, Harper made a graceful pivot. “I decided to step away from the team and focus on my studies and involvement at school,” she says. That transition opened the door to a new love: drama and theater. She performed in five productions at Highlands Latin School, often blending her dance skills into her stage roles.
Her extracurriculars didn’t stop there. Harper served as Head of the House of George in her senior year, balancing leadership responsibilities with her growing passion for music. “I started playing electric guitar and piano—two hobbies I’ve really come to love,” she shares.
Always one to challenge herself academically, Harper was accepted twice into Harvard’s prestigious summer program, where she completed pre-law courses and built meaningful friendships with students from around the globe. That experience helped solidify her future path. This fall, she’ll attend Villanova University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science, all on a Pre-Law track.
When asked who inspires her most, Harper doesn’t hesitate, “My parents. They’ve always been my biggest supporters and best friends. They taught me to aim high, work hard, and always do my best.”
With her combination of poise, passion, and perseverance, there’s no doubt Harper Huhn is destined for great things. We’re proud to call her a neighbor—and even more proud to watch her journey unfold.
