Chasing the Dream: Easton Arendt’s Road to College Baseball

At just 19 years old, Easton Arendt is already living out a dream many young athletes share. Now a freshman at Winona State University, Easton is proudly playing Division II baseball — a journey that began when he was just four years old.
“I grew up watching my parents play both baseball and softball,” Easton recalls. “Being the bat boy and hanging out in the dugout was so much fun.” That early exposure sparked a love for the game that only grew stronger with time, fueled by hours spent watching MLB and college players.
Today, Easton brings his talents to the mound and the outfield, embracing both roles with dedication. “I hope to keep doing both,” he says, underscoring his love for the game’s variety and challenge.
What keeps him coming back season after season? “The memories I make and the friendships I create,” Easton shares. For him, baseball has always been about more than wins and stats — it’s about community, connection, and lifelong lessons.
Among his proudest accomplishments is earning the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. “Being able to play D2 baseball is a dream come true,” he says. “I have my family, friends, and coaches to thank for getting me here.”
One of his biggest inspirations is his dad. “He’s taught me almost everything I know. I wouldn’t be in this position without him.”
To aspiring players, Easton offers heartfelt advice: “It’s a very hard sport, but it’s more than just a sport. Baseball teaches you a lot about life. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but it’s also so much fun. Enjoy every moment of it.”
Off the field, Easton keeps life just as active and well-rounded. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing other sports like football, basketball, golf, and skiing, and even mastering a few competitive card games for fun nights in.
And as for what’s next? Easton isn’t shy about dreaming big: “My dream is to make it to the professional level.”
With passion, perseverance, and plenty of heart, Easton Arendt is well on his way.
