Ever Be Floral

Meet Shannon and Chelsea

Chelsea Comeau was introduced to floral design while completing her undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University — Go Pokes! After spending time with a friend's mom, who owned a local floral shop, she designed her own wedding florals in 2017. Originally from Oklahoma, she relocated to North Carolina with her husband in 2018 and completed her doctorate in physical therapy at Elon University. Being the type never to sit still, she decided to start her own business, and Ever Be Floral was born!

Shannon Vandall was raised a North Carolina girl in Mooresville, and completed her undergraduate degree at UNCG with a concentration in special event management. After a brief stint in western North Carolina, she and her husband moved back to Greensboro — the city that always felt like home. They have three beautiful children, bought a forever home in New Irving Park, and have no intentions of ever leaving.

Shannon and Chelsea met at King's Cross Church, and instantly their families became friends. One night in June 2020, on a Zoom call (where else would you talk in 2020), Chelsea mentioned needing to find someone to help Ever Be continue to grow. Shannon had been a stay-at-home mom for five years and was looking to ease back into the workplace. It only took about 30 minutes to decide it was the perfect partnership.

Ever Be Floral grew exponentially over the following two years. What began as the two of them in a small studio space has now become a team of eight women, a retail location with a design studio, and a local small business name. Ideally located in The Shops at Friendly Center (next to Hand & Stone Massage and Midtown Olive), Ever Be added a storefront presence for creatively designed arrangements and local deliveries, in addition to serving brides as a wedding and event florist.

As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic brought many changes to 2020. Ever-changing CDC recommendations, increased safety precautions, and altered ceremony plans required Ever Be to pivot to serve their couples in the best possible way. The Ever Be team continues to dedicate itself to making each couple's dreams a reality. They work together to implement those inspirations daily in wedding design and florals for that special occasion. They love to serve brides and local customers alike.

Shannon and Chelsea invite you to visit the shop and check out the signature floral bar! There you will find the weekly stock and have a chance to pick up a bouquet for that special friend or loved one. Or stop by with a cup of coffee, and tell them about your upcoming wedding — they would love to meet you either way!
