Lakeside Retreat at The Point

When Donna and Doug Fellmy moved to Greensboro 23 years ago, they found the perfect lot to build their home in The Point at Lake Jeanette. The beautiful, lakefront property provided an idyllic setting for their spacious, transitional home that features great views of the lake from most every room in the house.

The 4,700-plus-square-foot home boasts a three-car garage, four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a wet bar, covered porch, generous living spaces and a sweeping, curved staircase. An expansive limestone patio on the back side of the home is highlighted by a gorgeous pool, hot tub, fire pit and built-in gas grill, all overlooking the lake. “We think the setting of our house on the lake makes it a special place to live. It is so peaceful to sit on our patio and enjoy the view of the lake,” Donna says.

Donna and Doug really like having a view of the lake from most every room, which makes it difficult to pick a favorite. However, their bonus room definitely tops the list. “As big sports fans, we love our bonus room. We enjoy watching multiple games on our wall of TVs. It is such a great room for entertaining with a bar, pool table, pinball machine and lots of space.”

The couple loves their home, but share that their favorite parts of living in the neighborhood are the wonderful people, the location and the beauty of the development that includes multiple walking trails and docks along the lake.

The Fellmys have made the difficult decision to move back to their home state of Ohio to be closer to family. They entrusted DJ McGarrigan of McGarrigan Group/Allen Tate REALTORS® to market their home and help find new owners who will love this grand home as much as Donna and Doug have.

With DJ’s knowledgeable approach and the support of his excellent team, the home went under contract just two weeks after it went on the market. “DJ and his team have been terrific to work with and found new owners in a very short time. We will definitely be sad to leave this house and neighborhood. It has been such a wonderful place to live.”
