Meet the Morrisons!

Ava, Ryan, their daughter Morgan, and their two beloved mini-Australian shepherds, Layla and Holly, have called Kings Point home for a year. Though new to the neighborhood, their Texas roots run deep.
Ava and Ryan both grew up in Conroe, Texas, and first met in junior high school where they built a close friendship that carried through high school. Despite never dating, fate had other plans. Years later, they reconnected at the Montgomery County Cookoff in 2010—and the rest is history.
Soon after reconnecting, Ryan graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He began his career in Bakersfield, California as a Production Engineer working for Occidental Petroleum Corporation. Meanwhile, Ava was working in Austin doing IT and Security work with a contracted job with the government. After a year of long-distance dating, Ava took a leap of faith and joined Ryan in California. Their time there was filled with adventures up and down the Pacific Coast Highway, with their favorite destinations being San Diego, Santa Barbara and quick weekend trips over to Las Vegas. As much as they enjoyed their time in California, Texas was always calling them home.
They married in Houston at the Omni Galleria Hotel in 2013. A year later they made the move back home to Houston. Upon moving back, they settled into the Summerwood community where they were close to family and friends. As the years passed, they kept getting drawn into the Kingwood community. They started looking for a home in Kings Point in the Spring of 2023 and after an extensive search they found their perfect home in the Spring of 2024.
Ryan still works in the oil and gas industry and is now a Production Manager for Verdun Oil Company, while Ava who began her career in real estate transitioned into residential mortgage lending in 2018. Her experience on both sides of the transaction helps her expertly guide clients through the homebuying process.
Their daughter Morgan, now nine, is heading into 4th grade at Willow Creek Elementary. Kind-hearted and full of energy, Morgan is following in her mother’s footsteps and is becoming quite the soccer player who also loves baking, sewing, cooking, and long summer days at the Country Club pool. Morgan is a huge dog lover and although they have two dogs, she is actively trying to add to their pet family.
The Morrisons are deeply connected to the community. Ava has served on the Kingwood Country Club social committee for seven years, planning local events and activities. When they’re not working, the family enjoys lounging by the pool, biking the greenbelt trails, cooking, golfing, cheering on the Astros, and attending concerts. Their favorite spots include Mastros, The Original Ninfa’s, and a classic Texas BBQ joint... though Taco Tuesdays at home are always a hit.
Beach vacations and Texas Hill Country getaways are family favorites, especially when they involve catching sunrises and sunsets. And when it’s time to wind down at home, they enjoy watching movies like Footloose, Top Gun, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and Despicable Me.
One of their most cherished traditions is baking scratch cookies together and decorating them on Christmas Eve. For the Morrisons, the best part of living in Kings Point is the incredible schools and the tight-knit community. As Ava puts it, “It’s a beautiful place to live, filled with friendship and family support.”
They have already met so many wonderful families and look forward to creating lasting memories and to continue making a positive impact in the community for years to come!
