When Wesley Hill, Joe Cope, and Bobby Springer opened the Panhandle territory for Outdoor Lighting Perspectives on July 1, 2025, they brought more than a new business to the region. They also brought the experience of a company with 25 years in outdoor lighting and a focus on one service: professional exterior lighting.

The three friends are the owners of the locally operated business, which employs four full-time staff members along with additional seasonal employees. The company provides landscape lighting, pool and lanai lighting, dock, deck and hardscape lighting, permanent roofline lighting, and holiday lighting for residential and commercial properties. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives designs custom lighting systems using energy-efficient LED fixtures and provides professional installation, ongoing maintenance, and its Shine 365 service program. Wesley attributes the company's success to its customer-first approach and attention to details that are often overlooked. "We always put the customer first and strive to provide a white glove experience in everything we do.”

The company combines the resources of the nation's largest outdoor lighting company with local ownership. That balance allows the team to deliver consistent products and service while meeting the needs of customers throughout the Panhandle. The leadership team brings experience from general contracting, commercial cleaning, franchising, landscape lighting design, medical device distribution, outside sales, retail management, and church leadership. These varied backgrounds help the team work together by building on one another's strengths.

The decision to enter the industry came from personal experience. Wesley and his partners were customers before becoming business owners, giving them firsthand knowledge of the impact outdoor lighting can have on a property. They also recognized an opportunity to serve the Florida Panhandle with a company dedicated solely to lighting rather than treating it as an add-on service. "Outdoor lighting, when done the right way, is not just staking lights in the ground around a property; it is a true art and design concept that can transform a residential or commercial property completely," Wesley explained.
