Seeing Differently: How ForSight Eye Redefines Boutique Eye Care

When Erika Morrow opened ForSight Eye in August 2019, she wasn’t simply launching an optometry practice—she was creating the kind of place she wished existed. After relocating to Savannah and struggling to find a workplace aligned with her values, Morrow envisioned a space centered on connection, thoughtful care, and eyewear that reflects individuality rather than mass production.
Today, ForSight Eye has become known for delivering a boutique experience rooted in warmth, personalization, and craftsmanship. Guests are welcomed into an environment designed not just for eye exams, but for meaningful interactions and curated style. The practice specializes in high-end, handcrafted eyewear from independent designers—frames chosen as much for personality and artistry as for function.
A Different Kind of Eye Care Experience
What sets ForSight Eye apart is its commitment to going beyond traditional clinical care. Rather than a high-volume model, the practice emphasizes time, attention, and genuine relationships. Each visit is tailored to the individual, blending advanced diagnostic technology with a highly personal approach.
Morrow and her team believe eyewear should be both functional and expressive. Their carefully selected collections allow guests to find frames that truly represent who they are—an experience that has earned the practice multiple “Best Optometrist” honors and a growing community of loyal patients.
A Team Built on Connection
At the heart of ForSight Eye is its all-women team, many of whom have worked together for years. Morrow describes them as the foundation of the business—professionals united by a shared dedication to growth, compassion, and exceptional care. Their philosophy centers on building relationships that extend beyond the exam room, creating an environment where guests feel known and valued.
The practice continues to evolve. Plans for the coming year include updates to the optical showroom designed to enhance connection and highlight the luxury, handcrafted nature of its eyewear collections. New lines will be introduced while others are thoughtfully retired, ensuring every offering reflects the practice’s mission.
Rooted in Savannah
Originally from Denver, Morrow moved to Savannah in 2017 when her husband accepted a position with Gulfstream Aerospace. The couple quickly fell in love with the city’s character and community, choosing to live downtown to stay closely connected to both neighbors and patients.
When she’s not at the practice, Morrow enjoys cycling through the city on her Brompton bicycle, visiting local breweries, and spending time outdoors—whether walking through Forsyth Park or relaxing at Tybee Island with her husband and their two dogs, Charlie and Dolly.
A Commitment to Giving Back
Community support is woven into the fabric of ForSight Eye. The practice has donated more than 100 complete eye exams and pairs of glasses to individuals in need and contributes over $15,000 annually to local nonprofits. For Morrow, giving back is a natural extension of the relationships the practice builds every day.
Advice for the Community
Morrow encourages residents to take a proactive approach to eye health. Comprehensive eye exams can detect early signs of eye disease and even broader health conditions before symptoms appear. She also recommends early eye exams for children and investing in well-made, properly fitted eyewear for long-term comfort and vision quality.
“Your eyes work hard for you every day,” she says. “They deserve thoughtful, expert care.”
