Spring Gardening Tips & Ideas

All gardens come alive in Spring and beckon us to explore all of the
moment- by-moment growth and blooms emerging that creates a sense of
magic in your garden. I love to just ponder as I walk through my garden,
paying attention to changes that may have occurred during the cold winter
months, including the rare snowfall we received in January.
It’s also a wonderful time of year to consider what new ideas you’d like to
add to your garden spaces. Some ideas for updating or transforming your
outdoors include hardscapes that invite you to entertain and extending your
living spaces that could include a Pool, an Outdoor Kitchen, a Fire Pit and a
Conversation Patio, Screened Porches, Gates, Pergolas and Pathways.
Connecting with the outdoors is just plain good for the soul!
Another key element to connecting the interior of the house with its garden
spaces is quality outdoor furnishings, unique planters strategically placed
for added pops of color, texture, fragrance and form. Colorful cushions
and accessories is unique to each client and choosing colors that connect
the interior colors make the connectivity more cohesive and inviting. A
fabulous water fountain is always a focal point that’s at the top of my list in
creating ambiance.
This Spring season, allow yourself some time to visit with family and friends
or just breathe in the sunshine and clean air. Children and Pets love to
play outside, especially in the areas that allow them to connect with nature.
A playset or doggie run is very important to all the members of the
household. Also, creating a pollinator garden and adding bird feeders &
baths will attract birds, butterflies and bees which is not only good for the
pollinators, but creates a ‘buzz’ in the garden that is as close to heaven on
earth as it gets.
I have been a Professional Landscape Designer since 1996 and absolutely
love working with clients one on one to achieve their dream garden. Linda
Greenberg Landscape Design (LGLD) is an award-winning full-service
company so if you can dream it, we can make it a reality.
It’s always a good idea to begin with a scaled landscape design and plant
key which allows you the convenience of installing your garden in phases.

The simple process begins with an onsite consultation followed by a
landscape design and plant key and then we work with our clients from
concept to completion, making it a very personal and exciting design
experience. Please give me a call if you’d like to schedule an onsite
consultation.
