Elliott O'Tulip Lucey & Lucey Stephenson

Mother & Daughter Duo

As you may or may not know, the Golden Girls live right here in your
neighborhood (Ok, not those Golden Girls). These girls are a dynamic
mother-daughter golden retriever duo named Elliot and Lucey.

Elliot is the wise, gentle, and sophisticated matriarch; the consistent
voice of reason. Whereas her daughter, Lucey, is the exuberant and
slightly mischievous puppy who is known for her boundless energy and
hugging skills.

It's hard to miss the elegance and poise of Mama Elliot as she positions
herself at the top of the stairs—paws crossed, always—to watch the
world go by, all while her golden fur shimmers in the sunlight. She loves
to smell the fresh air and make sure all is okay in the neighborhood.
Elliot may bark boisterously to say “hello”, but her soul is as sweet as
they come.

Lucey follows in Mama’s footsteps with everything she does. Once the
barking is done, both pups prop their paws up on the fence, waiting
(somewhat) patiently for a treat. Of course, their tails are swishing
back and forth in unison. They are happy to receive a pat or even a kiss
from passersby. The best days are when Marylou and Michael walk by
the house. The girls will stop anything they’re doing to receive a
heavenly homemade treat, pats on the head, and lots of love from these
two special humans.

The Golden Girls say that living a stone's throw from one another is
special. Lucey lives across the street from her Mama but often gets to
hang out in mom’s yard, which is Lucey’s version of Disney World. The
"hooman" Grandparents spoil her rotten with delicious homemade meals
and let her play in the sprinkler while they are watering their
garden. Now and again, she gets put in time-out for munching on
the delicious plants or putting her whole body over the sprinkler which
stops the water flow. Elliot typically likes to lie in the sun while chatting
with her spunky neighbor furry friend, Mazzie. Mazzie and Elliot often
try to warn Lucey that she's about to get in trouble, but as with any
tween, Lucey has a mind of her own and pushes things to the limit.

What most don't know about these two affectionate canines who radiate
"pawsitivity" is their love for Halloween. As October approaches, Elliot
and Lucey can sense the change in the atmosphere and know that their
favorite holiday is around the corner. With their tails wagging and ears
perked up, they watch as the neighborhood starts to transform with
spooky decorations. Lucey isn’t a fan of the blow-up cat decorations
that move and make hissing sounds. This sends her into a tailspin (no pun
intended) while on walks with her Mom. Elliot reminds Lucey that these
are fake cats and that the real cat they need to befriend is Nova, the
King of Sowell Street. He’s the cat's meow in Elliot's eyes with his
gorgeous, orange silk coat and slick actions always giving Lucey and Elliot
a run for their money.

While the girls adore the affection and treats they receive from
generous neighbors all year long, they also relish the opportunity to
reciprocate—and Halloween provides the perfect occasion for them to do
just that! Through endearing acts of spontaneous kindness,
characterized by tender licks, exuberant high-five paw shakes, and
gentle nudges, these furry companions illuminate the essence of goodwill.
This is their way of giving back. In the hearts of those they touch, these
extraordinary creatures aspire to hold a noble title: the esteemed "Furry Ambassadors of Love and Kindness". The girls and their “paw-rents” hope that their unique golden spirits will continue to create a legacy of love, joy, and community spirit in the neighborhood.

Elliot and Lucey often remind us that the true magic of any holiday is
the connections and love that you share. Even the small gestures of companionship can have a profound impact on the lives of others. So, whether it's an ear scratch, belly rub, hug, or simple smile, the girls encourage everyone to open their hearts and spread
"pawsitivity" within their neighborhood and throughout their daily lives.
