Captain Jack Pawrow & Brother Luke

The Edinger family (Scott, Christine, Ava, and Vivienne) has always had a soft spot for Westies (West Highland White Terriers). After having Kramer, one of their prior dogs, also a Westie, they wanted another Westie. When they went to an Austin breeder, they were set to take home Jack but ended up bringing both he and his littermate home.
Westies are famous for their bright white double coat and expressive, perky face. They are small dogs but have big personalities and are vocal. This description fits Jack perfectly. Christine (Jack’s mom) soon found out that littermates should not live in the same house because they can form a pack against you. This caused her to send them to a special trainer early to prevent this. This didn’t stop them from getting into trouble.
First, Luke (Jack’s brother) licked a cane toad (yum). Then Jack ate a whole box of Domino’s brownie cookies, which earned them a trip to the vet hospital for their stomachs to be pumped.
Jack loves to swim at the beach, paddleboard, and sunbathe. He also enjoys running in the park with other dogs. His favorite person is Ava, who just graduated from the University of Central Florida. When Ava comes back home, Jack abandons Vivienne (the Edingers’ youngest daughter) and sleeps in Ava’s bed.  The Edinger family compared Jack to Tigger from Winnie the Pooh because he is very energetic. During the interview, we also noticed he is very vocal; it was like he was trying to talk instead of bark.
Jack is 11 years old and loves to eat Farmer’s Dog beefsticks and blueberries.   Also, whenever the family is celebrating a birthday, they have to get doggy fro-yo so he feels included. Unfortunately, Luke passed not long ago, and it was an adjustment for the whole family.  Even though they are sure that Jack misses Luke, he has gotten sweeter by being the center of attention. He continues to bring happiness to the Edingers, hopefully for many years to come.

Jack, we hope to see you at this year's Hyde Park Halloween Pet Parade on Saturday, October 24th.
