Adventures of Ginger: From Pup Cups to Boat Trips

Tommy Teays: Today, I have the pleasure of sitting down with Ginger, the beloved Mini Golden Doodle of the McClellan family—Trent, Hope, Morgan, Sloane, and Zane. Ginger, thanks for taking the time to chat with me today!
Ginger: Tommy, I’m thrilled to be here! I always love meeting new people. I’m just so happy to be included. I’m always happy.

Tommy: I hear that! So, let’s start at the beginning. How did you come to be part of this wonderful family?
Ginger: Oh, my humans found me through a breeder in Ohio! They knew right away that I was the missing piece to their family puzzle. I mean, who wouldn’t want a fluffy, snuggly, adorable pup like me? I offer unconditional love and unlimited cuddles.

Tommy: And your name—Ginger—how did they choose it?
Ginger: Well, just look at me! My fur is this rich, dark red color, like a warm autumn leaf or a perfect ginger snap cookie. So, Ginger was the obvious choice! It’s fitting, don’t you think?

Tommy: Absolutely! Now, I hear you have some special talents.
Ginger: Oh, you bet I do! I give high fives like a champ, and my hugs? Legendary.

Tommy: But I also hear that you can be a little… ambitious when it comes to chasing things?
Ginger: I may have a habit of thinking I’m bigger than I am. Like, have you ever seen a tiny dog chase off deer? No? Well, I have! At least, until I realize they’re way faster than me. And buzzards—those things just taunt me from the sky! But, yeah, I usually have a moment of clarity mid-sprint and decide I should probably just head back home where it’s safe.

Tommy: Sounds like a wise decision. Speaking of adventures, I hear you’re quite the boating enthusiast?
Ginger: I love going out on the boat, it’s the best! I may or may not have taken an unexpected dip in the river once or twice, but hey, it keeps life exciting!

Tommy: Now, let’s talk about how spoiled you are—because from what I hear, you might have it pretty good.
Ginger: Yep! I go on school drop-offs and pick-ups every single day—I consider myself the family’s official chauffeur companion. Plus, I get to run errands whenever possible, sticking my head out the window like a queen surveying her kingdom. And let’s not forget my absolute favorite stop—Dunkin Drive-Thru. Pup cups? Yes, please! Oh, and I have baskets full of toys. Not just one basket. Multiple. I love them all.

Tommy: It sounds like you’re living the dream. What’s your favorite part about being in your family?
Ginger: Oh, that’s easy—just being with them! I greet them like they’ve been gone forever even if they only left the room for five minutes. I love playing ball in the yard, running through the snow, and romping around with my neighbor dog friends. But mostly, I just love snuggling up with my humans. They’re my whole world, and I let them know it every single day.

Tommy: That’s what makes dogs like you so special, Ginger. Thanks for sharing your story with us!
Ginger: Thank you for letting me tell it!
