The Mattinglys: Joy in Motion
From living room dance-offs to cruising the neighborhood by golf cart, the Mattinglys bring big smiles and big vibes wherever they go. Get to know this lively crew who make Holliday Farms feel even more like home.

New Digs, Dance Parties, and Golf Cart Goals
When Patrick and Sheena Mattingly rolled into Holliday Farms this spring, they brought with them two energetic daughters, one spirited pup, and enough joy to power the neighborhood’s entire golf cart fleet. And yes—they’re already living the golf cart lifestyle to the fullest.
Originally from different corners of Indiana (he’s a Zionsville guy, she’s a Munster girl), Patrick and Sheena first met as students at Purdue. Their love story kicked off over a bottle of wine and some questionable class schedules, something they now chalk up to fate and great taste in beverages.
Fast forward 15 years, two kids, a dog, and a few businesses later, they’ve officially settled into Holliday Farms, and they’re loving every minute. “We moved in at the end of April and are already fully onboard with the golf cart-to-everything life,” says Sheena. “Pat’s living his best life on the course, and I’m usually headed to the pool or clubhouse.”
A Day in the Life
Patrick is the calm to Sheena’s (delightfully productive) storm. He owns and operates Mattcon, a construction company he runs alongside his dad, Pete, who you might also recognize from the tee sheet. Pat's known for turning ideas into buildings by day and for turning up at Moontown Beer Co. on weekends. He recently took home the trophy in his member-guest flight, which now lives proudly in the basement bar. Yes, it lights up.
Sheena, meanwhile, is the Executive VP of Quality and Compliance for a Midwest therapy company. She’s also recently added “lobbyist” to her growing list of accomplishments, advocating for long-term care reform on Capitol Hill. Somewhere between federal regulations and speech therapy roots, she still manages to cook dinner, organize "mandatory family events," and dance with her kids in the living room.
Meet the Mini-Mattinglys
Their daughters, Niya (10) and Anya (8), are just as impressive. Niya, a 5th grader at Zionsville Middle School, is into golf, guitar, Girl Scouts, and choir. Anya, in 3rd grade at PVE, plays for Union FC Indy, loves to sing, and is already dabbling in acting, so keep an eye out, Holliday Farms, Broadway may be calling.
Both girls love gathering with friends (old and new) and are always up for a game, an adventure, or a Netflix movie night.
Favorite Things
The family’s go-to flicks evolve by era—Frozen, The Greatest Showman, and most recently, 50 First Dates (a nod to their Adam Sandler streak). Food-wise, it’s all about “Mee Mee’s Rice,” a fusion dish from Sheena’s mom, and “Pat’s Chicken,” slow-smoked to perfection.
When they’re not cooking together or riding around town, you’ll likely catch them mid-dance party because for the Mattinglys, fun is not optional, it’s essential.
Adventure Awaits
Their favorite vacation? Puerto Rico, where Patrick’s work trip magically turned into a family adventure featuring fresh coconut water, ocean swims, jungle hikes, new foods, and, of course, top-tier dad jokes.
They’re also big fans of Brown County weekends, Sunday hangs at Moontown’s 1915 Room, and Zionsville date nights at Noah Grant’s or Convivio.
Giving Back & Getting Involved
Patrick supports the Shriner’s Children's Hospital and local outreach through Mattcon and Moontown. Sheena, deeply connected to long-term care, is passionate about Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s research. Together, they’re grateful for strong friendships, healthy kids, and the ability to enjoy the outdoors with the people they love most.
Big Vibes Only
If you ask them what makes their family unique, they’ll tell you it’s their mix of backgrounds! Sheena’s parents immigrated from India in the 1980s, while Pat’s parents met at Auburn and raised their crew right here in Indiana. But ask anyone who’s met them, and they’ll probably say it’s the joy they bring wherever they go. Whether it’s a dance party, a dinner party, or a friendly wave from a passing golf cart, the Mattinglys are the kind of neighbors who make a place feel like home.
So next time you see them cruising around with music playing and smiles all around, don’t hesitate to say hi. Or better yet, challenge them to a dance-off—you might just lose.
