Genevieve Poulson Shines Bright
Genevieve and her little sister Clara
If you’ve ever met Genevieve Poulson, one thing is clear right away: she’s full of energy and confidence—and she’s always ready for fun!
Genevieve, who everyone calls “Vivi” (or sometimes just “G”), is 5 ½ years old and just started kindergarten at Perkins Elementary. Why Vivi? “Nine letters is too many,” she explains. “Vivi is easy to spell!” That confidence follows her everywhere, especially into the classroom. Her Spanish teacher says it best: “She’s so unafraid.”
Vivi’s mom, Brigitte, remembers her very first parent-teacher conference with kindergarten teacher Mrs. Fuss. The words stuck with her right away: “Genevieve is a natural-born leader!” Whether she’s learning something new or helping others along the way, Vivi isn’t afraid to step up and shine.
Outside of school, Genevieve stays busy doing what she loves most—dance and gymnastics. She’s a competitive gymnast at Bayside and is in her third year of dance at St. Pete Dance Center. Her house is often filled with music, cartwheels, and sparkly leotards as she practices her latest moves.
Whether she’s flipping across the floor, dancing to the music, or leading the way with confidence and courage, Genevieve brings joy wherever she goes. Big things are ahead for this fearless kindergartener—keep dreaming big, Vivi!
