Tony and Michael’s story begins in Maryland, where they met before spending two decades in Portland, Oregon, a city that shaped their design sensibilities and entrepreneurial spirit. Their careers have always revolved around creativity, from running one of the Northwest’s top design showrooms to managing their own interior design firm. When they arrived in St. Petersburg in 2018, they were ready for a new chapter that blended retail, design, and local flavor.

“We didn’t see anything like the men’s boutiques we loved in other cities,” Tony recalls. “So we decided to create one.”

Just 45 days after signing their lease in the Edge District, Atlas Body + Home opened its doors, a vibrant space that celebrates color, pattern, and individuality, built with the help of local artisans and friends.

Atlas isn’t just about clothing, it’s about confidence and community. The shop offers curated menswear, one-on-one styling, and private shopping events that make every customer feel like part of the family.

“Our vibe sets us apart,” says Michael. “We know our customers: their families, their dogs, their favorite styles. People come in to hang out as much as to shop.”

Atlas focuses on brands that can’t be found elsewhere in St. Pete, pushing the fashion envelope while staying approachable. “Guys know an Atlas shirt when they see it,” Tony adds with a smile.

Beyond fashion, Atlas is deeply woven into the local community. Their active Instagram account (@atlasbodyandhome) not only showcases new arrivals but also celebrates loyal customers with monthly giveaways.

When storms hit in 2024, Tony and Michael organized a donation drop-off with neighboring businesses and have since raised thousands for causes like Metro Health and The Trevor Project. “We live here and love sharing the local love,” they say.

With their 7th anniversary approaching in early 2026, the Atlas team is dreaming big, from expanding their space to launching special edition products and hosting a neighborhood fashion show with other Edge District boutiques.

Their advice for aspiring entrepreneurs? “Shop local, trust your instincts, and take advantage of the amazing business resources here in St. Pete,” says Tony.
