Miss Bonnie Captured Their Hearts

Jim, Michelle, and Madison Fowler, proud residents of the Old Northeast neighborhood, are the loving family behind this week’s featured furry friend: Miss Bonnie, a sweet and sassy tuxedo cat with a heartwarming story.
Miss Bonnie came into the Fowlers' lives when she was just three months old. She was adopted from Friends of Strays only a month after the family lost their beloved Lucy, who had been part of their lives for 17 years. "We were heartbroken from the loss," Michelle shares. "Little Bonnie brought our home and our hearts back to life."
Her name holds special meaning too. She was named after a dear friend of the family, making her presence in their lives even more meaningful.
Now three years old, Miss Bonnie has completely settled into her role as the queen of the house. One of her most beloved routines happens at bedtime. "Every night when I head to bed, she’s waiting for me," says Michelle. "Once I'm in, she snuggles with me all night. It's the best feeling in the world. The only problem is, you’re frozen in place because you don’t dare wake her up or move. She looks too cute when she’s sleeping."
She is also the family’s very reliable alarm clock. Bonnie wakes everyone up at 5:45 a.m. sharp, seven days a week. "If I don’t get up, she jumps on and off the bed and meows loudly until someone does," Michelle laughs.
Yes, she is spoiled. And yes, everyone is just fine with that. Bonnie especially loves her share of Madison’s scrambled eggs. The moment she hears them cooking, she comes running.
From early morning wake-up calls to cozy nighttime cuddles, Miss Bonnie brings joy, personality, and warmth to the Fowler family’s everyday life. She may be small, but she fills their home with love.
