DECEMBER

SUBHEAD = 1/For the Love of Riley and Cody
Carter Drive residents Bridget Xue and Chris Rork say their pups Riley and Cody are spoiled. They eat the doggy equivalent of filet mignon each night and take doggie hikes once a week. Bridget even adjusted her job so she could spend more time with them. Riley is a ten-and-a-half-year old Labradoodle and Cody a nine-year-old Bernedoodle.
SUBHEAD = 2/Meet the Campbells
Angelo Court residents Ashley and Grier Campbell are empty nesters with two college-aged kids (Ran and Allie). Since their youngest Allie left for college, they added a new puppy and Ashely embraced volunteering as well as building her real estate business. Ashley’s favorite holiday is Christmas. She co-chaired the Mailbox Brigade this year.
SUBHEAD = 3/Helping Hurricane Helene Victims
When learning of Hurricane Helene’s destruction in Georgia and North Carolina, East Brookhaven Drive resident Terri Eden knew she had to help. She first rallied friends to donate money for supplies for victims in Augusta where her nieces live. Then she volunteered with Samaritan’s Purse to clean up homes in some of the hardest hit parts of Western North Carolina.
SUBHEAD = 4/Hundreds Flock to Neighborhood Halloween Party
Hundreds of residents and their friends descended on the East Brookhaven/Lakehaven/Davidson triangles for the neighborhood Halloween party on October 31. Neighbors donated funds toward a DJ, drinks, food, and decorations. East Brookhaven Drive was closed from East Club Lane to Club Drive so families could safely trick-or-treat.
SUBHEAD = 5/The White Cross on West Brookhaven Drive
When Jim Letson’s friend died in his West Brookhaven Drive front yard, Jim decided to hang a white cross on the pine tree near where the incident occurred. John Skogstad was on his way to Capital City when he passed and his car drifted into Jim’s yard. Jim says John never had an enemy and was full of life.
