One of the greatest joys of being part of our Hidden Lake community is celebrating life’s sweetest milestones together. Few moments are as special as welcoming new little ones into the world — especially when those babies already have such deep roots of family connection here in Hidden Lake.

Our neighbors Marji and Dave Hunnewell recently became proud grandparents four times over — and their joy is absolutely contagious!

Their son, Nathaniel, and his wife, Deanna, live in Indianapolis, where Nathaniel works as a senior scientist in research and development at Eli Lilly, while Deanna works in receiving at Costco. Together, they’ve welcomed two beautiful children: Callum, born in March of 2022, and Valerie, born in June of 2024.

Marji and Dave’s daughter, Amber, and her husband, Doug, are equally accomplished and full of love. Amber is a Speech Language Pathologist, and Doug is the manager of analytical chemistry at Veridian Pharmaceuticals. They’ve also grown their family with two little ones: Samuel, born in May of 2022, and Isabelle, born in June of 2023.

“Our kids have always done everything together… So once children started, it is no surprise their children are only months apart in age.”

It’s almost as though the family timeline has stayed perfectly in sync. From sharing scouting ceremonies to graduating from Purdue, and even marrying within one month of each other, Nathaniel and Amber have woven their milestones side by side. Now, with their children so close in age, this next generation of cousins is already set up for a lifetime of shared adventures, laughter, and traditions.

As Marji put it so beautifully, she and Dave couldn’t be prouder stepping into their roles as Nanna and PopPop. Their hearts are full as they watch these four little ones grow, knowing they’ll be bound together by love, closeness, and family legacy.

In Hidden Lake, we often say this community is more than a place to live — it’s a place to belong. The Hunnewells embody that truth perfectly. Their joy spills over into the neighborhood, reminding us all to pause and cherish the blessings of family, whether near or far.

So let’s join together in celebrating Marji and Dave’s growing family tree. May little Callum, Samuel, Isabelle, and Valerie always know they are surrounded not only by their adoring parents and grandparents but also by a whole neighborhood that delights in welcoming them into the world.
