Right Around the Corner

A midweek gathering at Moose Ridge Grille brought over 60 neighbors together for great food and even better connection. For many, it was a surprising discovery that this cozy, nearby Grille is open year-round and just minutes from home.

On a lively Wednesday evening, more than 60 neighbors and friends gathered at Moose Ridge Golf Course & Grille for a Stroll Hidden Lake Restaurant Review that delivered far more than just a meal. It was an evening rooted in connection, discovery, and the kind of welcoming atmosphere that reminds everyone what makes this community so special.

From the moment guests arrived, the tone was set. The warm, lodge-style setting, glowing with natural wood and scenic views, created the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and social night out. Families, couples, and friends filled the space, many meeting for the first time, others reconnecting with familiar faces.

“It was a very nice event to enjoy an awesome venue and providing an opportunity for families and kids to mingle,” shared neighbor Nick Pinaire. “Close to home on a school night made it safe and manageable as well.”

The evening featured a generous buffet-style spread that allowed guests to sample a variety of dishes. The menu included chicken parmesan, homemade meatballs, Detroit Sausage Company sausage with peppers and onions, cavatappi pasta with marinara, a vegetable medley, Caesar salad, and fresh homemade bread.

And while everything was enjoyed, there was one clear standout.

The meatballs.

Hands down the fan favorite of the night, with guests going back for seconds and making sure to mention them long after plates were cleared.
Beyond the food, what truly stood out was the discovery. Many neighbors shared they didn’t realize Moose Ridge had a Grille at all, let alone one that is now open year-round.

“We were impressed with the facility, the food, and the staff,” shared Glenn and Michele Geda. “We will certainly use this restaurant in the future.”

That sentiment echoed throughout the room. What was once an overlooked nearby destination is now firmly back on the radar for many Hidden Lake families.

The Moose Grille is now open every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5–9 PM, offering a welcoming, close-to-home option for dining, gathering, or even carryout. Just around the corner from Hidden Lake, it’s quickly becoming a go-to spot for neighbors looking for something easy, local, and enjoyable.

The evening also created space for meaningful connection. Conversations flowed across tables, introductions were made, and new friendships began to take shape.

“I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with two great neighbors and meeting two new neighbors who now live just two houses away,” shared Karen Wintringham. “The building was beautiful, cozy, and warm, with great views. The staff was welcoming and efficient, and the food was plentiful and well seasoned.”

While the lively atmosphere made for a full room and energetic conversation, the purpose of the evening was clear. Time together.

Adding to the experience, guests enjoyed a series of thoughtfully curated raffle prizes throughout the night. Moose Ridge provided ballcaps, while Stroll gifted certificates to the grille to bring guests back again. Additional items included MedSpa gift cards to Aesthetic Atelier in downtown South Lyon, travel-inspired gifts from Avant Fare Travel, and items from South Lyon Cycle.

A special thank you goes to Shaun LeBeau, owner of Dean Mechanical, who generously surprised the group by sponsoring drinks for the evening. It was a thoughtful touch that elevated the entire experience.

At its core, the night was a reminder of what Stroll is all about. Bringing neighbors and friends together. Creating shared experiences. Supporting local places that are ready to welcome the community in.

And based on the feedback, this won’t be the last visit.

“Definitely put Moose Ridge back on the radar… we will be back.”
