It’s a very exciting new year for the members of the Heathrow Women’s Club!
In addition to the numerous social events, plans are underway for upcoming fundraisers. The celebration of the 35th Anniversary continues for this community organization dedicated to helping women and children in need in Seminole County.
For several years, HWC has chosen to support area organizations with hands-on activities as well as financial donations. All monies raised through fundraising events are given to these charities. The current recipients are:
- The Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida West Sanford Branch
- Safehouse of Seminole
- Seminole County Friends of Abused Children
FEBRUARY 4, 2023: “Treasures and Collectibles” The popular HWC yard sale is back again. At Heathrow’s Sawyer Lake Park clubhouse from 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., Club members are donating a myriad of their indoor and outdoor home goods, jewelry, children’s items and more. All proceeds go to the designated charities.
Do you have items to donate to this sale? Contact Ways & Means chair Adrienne Ferrie at waysandmeans@heathrowwomensclub.org. You may drop off items on Feb. 3 or arrangements can be made to pick them up. (No clothing please.)
MARCH 1, 2023: “RAZZLE DAZZLE Cocktail Party and Auction Fundraiser” The Club’s annual gala and primary fundraising event, from 5:30 – 8:30 P.M., is at the Lake Mary Event Center, 260 N. Country Club Rd., Lake Mary, FL. Cost is $60 per person and includes hearty hors d’oeuvres, music by Chris Boulie, an incredible silent auction, and a cash bar. Enjoy an early evening of friendly comradery and the fantastic silent auction filled with beautiful purses, elegant jewelry, varieties of wine and hard liquor, and much more.
