Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from?    I am an orthodontist from Brazil, practicing dentistry for 25 years. I moved to the USA in 2016 to earn my MBA degree in Dental Clinic Management at University of Florida. I would go to Brazil every month to see my patients since we have a straight fly from Fort Lauderdale to Belem , Para ( Brazil ). I owned a dental clinic in Belem with 20 dentists and more than 14 staff members. In 2018 I took the National Board Dental exam and passed. I was accept in Nova southeastern University and got my Doctor of Dental Medicine ( DMD ) license . My husband and I decided that USA would be our new residency due to security and great education for our three kids. We bought the house in Hawks landing because we saw the great environment and the location, close to our kids school, American Heritage.

Now ... can you share more about your family?    I am married for 24 years with Adan, a civil engineer also from Brazil. We have three beautiful kids: Maria Eduarda is 21 years old, Adan Filho, 18 years old and Arthur, 14 years old. They all went to American heritage, Arthur is a current student going to his 9th grade. Maria is a junior in Ohio State studying finance and Adan will be starting University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign next August for civil engineering like his father.

 

 I love to live in Hawks landing. We moved here last year in August, 2023. The reason to move was the great location, close to the school and the safe environment. My favorite part of living here is the people. All neighbors are kind and sweet, and the staff is amazing. My son loves to play tennis and we have a great clinic here. My other son loves to go to the gym so also, we have a good facility

Business Name and Description of Services    As a dental clinic owner for so long in Brazil, I decided to go back to dental school to earn my license here so I could be a dentist in the USA as well. My passion is dentistry and has always been. I found the opportunity to buy a dental office 10 minutes away from our community and I opened Boutique Smiles Fl. the concept of this dental practice is a practice tailored for your needs, in a comfortable environment with great technology, vast experience and caring staff. It is my way of dentistry, a family practice where the most important asset is our patients satisfaction.

How long have you been involved? What does your volunteer work include?    After graduating from my first dental school in Brazil, back in 1998, I went to orthodontics residence program for 5 years, specializing in both children and adults, growth development, Facial Analysis, TMJ disorders and tooth movement. I opened my first dental practice in 2002 and grew up to my dental clinic in 2006. I taught orthodontics at the university I graduated and I have been a member of American Association of orthodontists since 2002. After my second dental school, this time in Nova Southeastern University, I feel in love for general dentistry again, specially for prosthodontics being an honor student for the prosthodontics department at NSU.

What else should we know about you, your family, hobbies, or your business?    My family is my biggest treasure. My husband and I left behind so many things for our kids to have this great opportunity that is to live in the Usa that we really enjoy  seeing the great human beings that have become. We love to travel together, to have our meals together as much as possible and to spend time with each other. I believe my business is a great reflection of how I am, a lucky person that has been always so fortunate with people that surrounds me, as family, friends and patients I have great parents living in Brazil and I great team at the office that makes me feel comfortable to give the best care for my patients.
