Meet the McClungs – Seeking Community

The McClung family moved to their lovely home on Grand Park Drive here in Harmony just over a year ago, seeking a family-oriented community with fun amenities for kids and parents alike. They also wanted close proximity to schools and activities and a ‘base’ for exploring the rest of Northern Colorado. Having grown up in the Midwest, where you don’t see the sun for six months, they have also fallen in love with the weather and sunshine here.

The McClungs are Jess (DeMonte), Nate, Finley (11), Corinn (10), and Bernedoodle Rue Bear (1). Both Jess and Nate are originally from Ohio but spent the last 17 years in Chicago. Jess attended THE Ohio State University for both undergraduate and law school and is the in-house attorney for a fertilizer and mining company. Nate attended Miami University (Ohio) and is an internal auditor for a national bank.

Finley attends Timnath Middle High School and plays point guard on a travel basketball team. Corinn attends Timnath Elementary School and loves playing shortstop on her softball team. Sporting events dominate their weekends, but they are certainly getting to know NOCO as a result.

Both Jess and Nate enjoy hiking, concerts (or any live music) and are huge foodies, having hit most of the Michelin-starred restaurants in Chicago. Nate has a running streak of almost four years and has taken up gardening and bird watching since moving to Colorado. The entire family enjoys travel, especially national and state parks, and they relax with board or card games, with the girls taught at an early age to be card sharks.
