9th Annual Hallsley 5K Turkey Trot

Wow! Thank you all for another awesome 5K Turkey Trot in Hallsley held on Thanksgiving morning! Together we raised $4365 for the Chesterfield Food Bank and Outreach Center! That’s 17,260 meals for families right here in Chesterfield County! Everyone who participated and dressed up was entered into our raffle for gift card prizes!

Congratulations to Rehaan Jain for the fastest time of 17:12, Mason Captain in second with a time of 18:06, and Garrett Tambourine for third place with 18:15! Congratulations in the 13 and under category to Grady Castiglia for the fastest time of 19:36, Rehaan Arevind in second with a time of 20:28, and Liam Rogala in third with a time of 22:97! Way to run fast! The winner of the best Turkey costume was Carter Castiglia! Way to gobble gobble, Carter! Who knew turkeys could be so stylish! 

A huge thank you to all our volunteers for taking time away from their holiday dinner preparations to help out with the race! Especially the Claybrook Family- Jason, Sherie, Dylan (Turkey), and Caroline who led the charge! Kelly and Chris Kaze for helping wherever needed, Sonja Harris for set up of the course, Sandhya Aravind, Janita Jain, Eric Tambourine, Lucy Williamson, and Jamison Burke for registration, refreshments, and any other assigned duties! Thank you all as we could not do this without volunteers!
