Enduring bonds of love and laughter.

with the LaRose Family

Amongst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the LaRose family of three always finds time to spend with one another. Rich, Elizabeth, and Senna have called Hallsley home for about nine years and have cherished every moment in the community.

Originally born in Miami, Florida, Rich moved to Orlando while in high school. He remained in the city throughout college and continued to reside there until embarking on his initial career managing Sam’s Wholesale Club. Rich attended the University of Orlando and ultimately moved to Virginia for work in 1995. Now, Rich is a Private Wealth Advisor & Managing Partner of Four Rivers Wealth Management Group. Elizabeth grew up in Reston, Virginia, and lived in the city for the rest of her childhood. After attending Virginia Tech, Elizabeth is now a Four Rivers Wealth Management Group Practice Manager. In 2005, Rich and Elizabeth met in Roanoke and moved to Midlothian about a year later. In the following year, Senna was born.

Senna, an eleventh-grader at Midlothian High School, is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) degree program. Beyond academia, her world bursts with creativity and passion. Senna loves to indulge in numerous clubs, writing, painting, crafting, crocheting, and making jewelry. Her entrepreneurial spirit has recently taken the spotlight as she started a small business selling jewelry to help fund an upcoming summer IB school trip to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. On that note, as a member of New Life United Methodist Church, she is the president of her Youth Group. As a family, the LaRoses dedicate a portion of their time to the church, as they are involved with community outreach and ministry programs.

The LaRoses treasure time spent outdoors, whether at home and lounging by the pool or at a short getaway in Avon, NC. While at their beach house, the family generally spends the day on the beach or takes out their boat on the Pamlico Sound. In addition, they enjoy discovering sand bars to drop anchor and leisurely float the next day. Amid their Outerbanks adventures, Rich finds time to indulge in his passion for fishing. When not on their way to the Outerbanks, the LaRoses travel extensively through the Caribbean Islands. However, their favorite and most recent trip is Costa Rica. The family shares, “We've been there twice with our church mission team but have loved it enough to also make it a family vacation destination.” When the family can’t be outside, they immerse themselves in board and card games, building large Lego projects, and watching movies. As avid fans of “Everything Marvel Universe,” Rich and Senna never miss a new movie or series release. On the topic of shows, Senna and Rich also enjoy watching “good” B-rated movies, while Elizabeth is drawn to Downton Abbey and the Outlander Series. However, one series that the family collectively loves to watch is Ted Lasso. As for sports, Rich is the most devoted sports fan in the LaRose household. The family explains, “Elizabeth is a committed VT Hokie fan, but Rich grew up a diehard Miami Dolphins fan and lives that out.” Like her father, Senna is also a Dolphins fan. Elizabeth and Senna support Rich’s fandom and try coordinating trips to see the Dolphins play.

The family prioritizes gathering every evening for a shared dinner, relishing the opportunity to reconnect and catch up on each other's day. As for traditions, the family holds the LaRose Family Pumpkin Carving Contest every year, with a winner chosen from social media polls or a disinterested third party. The LaRose’s favorite part of Hallsley is the walking trails, especially because most of the development is wooded and integrated into nature. From traveling down to the Outerbanks to connecting through TV shows and pumpkin carving contests, their shared experiences continue to weave a tapestry of memories that bind them with enduring bonds of love and laughter.
