Luncheon Festivities and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

On March 12, the Bay Point Women’s Club achieved a milestone by officially joining the Bay County Chamber of Commerce. The event was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Chamber Ambassadors, BPWC Members, and Officers Cherie Alexander, President; Tami Sederquist, 1st Vice President; Robin Stutts, 2nd Vice President; Deb Trusler, Treasurer; Ally Barclift, Secretary; Kay Murphy, Past President.

Following the ceremony, members enjoyed a special St. Patrick’s Day-themed luncheon at Bar 72, catered by Angie Schreiber of Cooking on the Lagoon with Angie. The menu featured a variety of Irish dishes, including Wine Braised Beef Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef Cabbage Rolls, Colcannon, Guinness and Irish Cheddar Mac & Cheese, and salad with Margarita Chicken, all of which received high praise from attendees. For dessert, Tami Sederquist of The Grand Lagoon Cookie Company provided a delightful (and delicious!) assortment of treats: “Oh My, Chocolate Cupcakes,” “The Devil Brown Butter Cupcakes,” and Buttery Vanilla Shamrock sugar cookies.

A highlight of the luncheon was guest speaker Dean Resch, an experienced safety expert with a long and impressive list of credentials, including FAA flight systems investigator and branch manager with one assignment as safety director for the FAA/State Department “Twin Star 95,” a Hijack Terrorism Training Exercise. Mr. Resch empowered BPWC members with vital knowledge and practical tips about staying safe in public places, a topic of great interest and relevance.

As we embark on this new journey as Bay County Chamber of Commerce members, the club looks forward to continued growth, community engagement, and making a meaningful impact in Bay County.
