The school year is winding down, and students have been busy engaging in fun end of year activities and learning! We started the month celebrating the amazing female role models in our life, with Muffins in the Morning. A big thanks to Karen Eagle Group for sponsoring sweet morning treats with our moms, grandmas, and aunts, and the PTC for volunteering!

 

GMES students were also honored to host News Channel 5 meteorologist, Trent Magill, and made their debut on the news! Trent shared an interactive presentation on the weather, how it works, and his job as a meterologists Students were so excited to learn about something they experience every day, and welcomed Trent with a weather themed mural!

 

Third graders took a trip to Mayfield High School for a district-wide 3rd grade field day. Students rotated through 5 physical education stations and collaborated with their friends at Millridge, Lander, and Center on what felt like a summer day. Students also had the chance to take their 2nd annual trip to the Akron Zoo, thanks to Laura Berge’s generous Coins for a Cause donation. The field trip was full of fun and learning about animals.
