The Mann Family

Fulshear Creek

The Mann family's journey is an inspiring tale of resilience, determination, and community spirit that has left an indelible mark on Fulshear Creek. Todd and Kristen, along with their three daughters Kindsay 16, Sophia 12, Olivia 12 and two dogs, Jackson and Paisley, have made this vibrant community their home since 2018. They have brought with them a wealth of experiences and a commitment to making a positive impact. They believe when you put your trust and faith in God, the result will be meaningful and blessed.

Todd's roots in Jasper, TX, led him to Houston in 2001, where he embarked on a career in construction and building material sales for home builders, home centers, apartments, schools, hospitals, and oil and gas man camps. Kristen, a Houston native, began her love for community and leadership while in High School where she volunteered at Amigos De Las America, and served impacted areas of Costa Rica. After graduation, she attended the University of Houston for a year before embarking on rare chance to move to Australia. While living down-under, Kristen was scouted and offered the opportunity to model. She quickly became disenchanted with the culture of that particular modeling industry and returned home. In 2003, fate intervened at a local Bar and Grill in Houston TX, where Todd and Kristen’s paths crossed leading to happily ever after in 2006.

Kristen was an only child of a single mother during her early years. At the age of 13, her mom married the man she calls Dad to this day. She credits her parents with instilling in her a resilient and compassionate mindset. Her first career began at Jason’s Deli, where she worked her way up to Regional Manager, then Houston’s sales and marketing. Kristen and Todd managed both careers successfully while having their oldest daughter, Kindsay. After the birth of their twin girls Sophia and Olivia in 2011, Kristen chose to be a stay-at-home mom. Realizing that she still desired to have a career, Both Todd and Kristen knew the importance of having a flexible schedule that gave them the freedom to be there for their growing family. The decision was made to get her real estate license to avoid the glass ceiling of corporate America while maintaining a healthy family, work-life balance. In 2013, Kristen received her license, and this was the beginning of a new journey with its fair share of obstacles along the way.

In 2015, just a few years as an agent at Keller Williams Premier, located in Katy, The Mann family escaped what could have been a real tragedy. While horseback riding, Kristen was thrown from her horse and landed on her neck. It was a true blessing when she didn’t sustain any visible breaks but did suffer difficult injuries. Despite the adversity, Kristen's determination shone through as she navigated her health journey to rehabilitation through a regiment of yoga, exercise, and meditation. The following year, Todd faced what appeared to be misfortune amidst the 2016 oil industry downturn but ended up to be a door opening for change. Instead of allowing his career industry to dictate his future, Todd decided to venture into real estate with Kristen. A decision that would align their future on a road to success. Shortly after, their longtime friend and confidant, Annette Smith also joined the team, culminating in the formation of The Mann Group Properties Team at Keller Williams Premier in Katy TX, making this a true family affair.

However, it wasn't long before the Mann Team would be battling yet another unforeseen circumstance in 2018 when Kristen experienced a relapse from her previous injury. While at work, out of nowhere, she began to lose her vision in the middle of an event. This sudden onset landed her in the emergency room where she was diagnosed with a rare Chiari Malformation. This ailment affects the brain and spine which impairs vision and memory and most likely due to her previous horseback accident. With Todd and Annette by her side, The Mann Group Properties Team was able to continue to thrive despite a relapse which brought Kristen to her knees…literally. In 2019, she experience a herniated disc that impeded her ability to stand or walk without assistance. Undeterred, she fought through yet another obstacle and made the decision to undergo surgery which proved to be the correct choice. and shortly after was able to make a remarkable recovery. Finally, after 4 years of battling injuries, caring for their 3 young daughters, and leading a Real Estate Team, Todd and Kristen are able appreciate the journey to where they are now.

Despite these personal challenges, The Mann Group Properties Team continued to thrive, becoming one of the top teams at KW Premier. Kristen's leadership qualities were further recognized in 2021 when she was offered the opportunity to take over the brokerage, managing a team of 350 agents. She gives thanks to God and humbly honors the hard work and support from Todd and Annette. She leads with a “Team First” attitude along with her passion for training, public speaking and building relationships as her driving force. KW Premier is currently ranked as one of the top brokerages in Houston due to exemplifying their core values and commitment to excellence.

Beyond their professional commitment, Todd and Kristen have ingrained themselves into their own community. They pioneered a local publication and hand delivered it to every resident prior to Stroll Fulbrook Fulshear Creek's arrival. Their home has become a focal point for community events, holiday celebrations, and gatherings that foster a sense of togetherness. Despite their busy lives, they still make time for cultivating personal interest. Kristen is a true foodie and loves trying new things by immersing herself into different cultures and traveling is her way to satisfy both. She enjoys supporting Fulshear’s local businesses like her favorites, Dogwood Lane and Anthonies, along with their giving back to their daughter's schools. Todd’s interests are golf, hunting, camping, bourbon, and anything outdoors. He’s the true social one and loves to be around people. Getting together to watch sports, golf with friends, and hang out poolside is considered an ideal day. As an extremely supportive and involved father, Todd stays busy with the girls and their sports. Their oldest daughter Kindsay is a Junior at Fulshear High School and plays competitive soccer. Like most twins, Sophia and Olivia have their own individual interests and styles. Sophia enjoys playing golf and flag football and Olivia loves to dance.

They have made an impact that reaches far beyond real estate, leaving a legacy of resilience, compassion, and a deep sense of community connection. Their story is a testimony for us all to appreciate the genuine authenticity that they shared.
