 Pet's age: 2.5 years old

 Where/why did you get your pet? Brinkley was given as a Christmas gift from Chris to Emilie,
 McKinley, and Charis in December of 2022. 

Is there a story behind its name? Brinkley is named after the Golden Retriever in the movie "You've
 Got Mail," a long time family favorite. 

Anything special or unusual about them (talents/quirks)? Brinkley is wonderful at expressing his
 emotions. He can give a side eye better than either of our two teenagers. 

What do you like best about your pet? Brinkley loves people and is always ready to make new
 friends. If you come to visit, he thinks you are entirely there for him. 

Any funny stories? Brinkley is still trying to come to terms with the fact that he is, indeed, not actually a human. So while there are not any specific stories, his family is quite often caught off guard by all the ways he "acts like one of them." This includes but is not limited to watching TV, floating on floats in the pool, swinging, sneaking into his sibling's beds, researching how to outsmart squirrels, and
 stealing any stuffed animal that is readily available. How spoiled is your pet? He is 100% spoiled mainly because he converted his mom from "not a dog person," to full-on committed pet owner that communicates to him in her special dog voice. It's safe
 to say that he runs the Galanos home:).
 What else should we know about your pet and/or how your pet has enriched your home/family? Brinkley is the perfect addition to our family. He always seems to know what we need right when we need it. If we need a calm moment, he will quietly curl up by our feet. If we need some steps, he is
 always up for a game of chase. Our family definitely wouldn't be the same without him!
