Meet Junie B.
She knows who runs the household!
Hello, my name is Junie B (Jones); but I also answer to June and Junebug. I am an almost 3 year old mini Australian Labradoodle and weigh only 19 pounds. My parents, Josh and Jocelyn, brought me home in April of 2023 after years of my older sisters, Jansen and Josie, begging for a puppy. As soon as they laid eyes on me, I knew I was going home with them.
First things first, I run our house. Everyone thinks my sisters do, but that's only because I let them believe it. I am the one who wakes up first every morning, jumping on mom and dad to make sure they see that I am awake. I once heard them say that when I was a puppy I would never be allowed to sleep in their bed. Jokes on them! It's my favorite spot in the house!
They say I'm "good with kids," which is true. I let my sisters carry me around the house, give me hugs that are too tight and make me wear bows and bandanas that they give me after grooming. My favorite time of day is when everyone is home at the end of the day and relaxing on the couch. I rotate between laps and stare at them with my big brown eyes waiting for a belly scratch.
I also love when Mom takes me on a neighborhood walk. I tend to go a little crazy if I see a deer run across the street and think that I could catch them if I wasn't on a leash. I also enjoy backyard time where I must protect my family from the squirrels and deer.
I may be small, but my job is big. Love everyone, and protect my house. Oh wait. I just heard it. The sound. My favorite ball is flying through the air and my sisters are yelling my name, which means my story is officially over. I run at full speed, ear flapping, heart bursting, paws barely touching the ground.
