At MB Design & Construction, we believe thoughtful renovations can transform not just a home, but how it supports everyday life. Founded by Margie Baumann, our design build firm specializes in residential remodels and additions, guiding clients seamlessly from concept through construction.

While teaching Interior Design at Mississippi College, Margie began working with clients on remodel plans and quickly recognized a need for more contractors who approached remodels with a strong understanding of design. To better serve her clients, she became a licensed contractor and launched MB Design & Construction, creating a more cohesive, design driven renovation experience.

Margie holds a degree in Interior Design from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science in Architecture. She is both a licensed contractor and a certified interior designer. After nearly a decade teaching at Mississippi College, she transitioned full time into her business in 2021, though she had been serving clients and gaining hands on experience for years prior. In addition to Margie, the firm includes an in house interior designer and a dedicated construction project manager, creating a streamlined and highly collaborative process.

We specialize in full home renovations, kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, and interior design. Each project is approached holistically, with detailed drawings and selections completed ahead of construction to ensure clarity, efficiency, and more accurate pricing.

Located within our Ridgeland office, The Curated Renovation Showroom offers a simplified, more intentional renovation experience. Clients can make selections from a thoughtfully curated collection of materials, all in one place, before we seamlessly carry the project through construction.

As a true design build firm, we bridge the gap between design and construction. Our clients benefit from one cohesive team, clear communication, and a highly personalized approach that results in spaces that feel elevated yet livable. We also collaborate with a trusted network of skilled subcontractors who share our standards for quality and craftsmanship, ensuring each project is executed with care and precision.

Margie and her son, Ticer, live in Madison. Partnering with Stroll neighborhoods allows us to connect with and serve the community we are proud to call home.
