Pryor and Robert Lampton

The Lampton family runs deep in Eastover! 3 Generations Strong!

This month, we’re thrilled to shine our Family Spotlight on Pryor and Robert Lampton who live on Eastover Drive. Pryor and Robert are the proud parents of five adult children, adoring grandparents to six little ones, and pet parents to two very entertaining pets.
Robert, a Jackson native, and Pryor, originally from the Mississippi Delta town of Glendora, tied the knot nearly ten years ago in a field of wildflowers in Aspen, Colorado, surrounded by their children. This summer marks their 10th anniversary—congratulations!
Robert, an Ole Miss alum, volunteers a great deal of time into making Jackson and Eastover a better place to live. Although less involved in the day-to-day operations of Ergon, the family business founded by his father, Robert stays plenty busy developing property and championing civic projects. From expanding the city's "Museum Trails" to playing an integral part in securing the gates of Eastover, to filling potholes with asphalt from his own truck, Robert’s mission is simple: make Jackson and Eastover even better places to live. He’s also helping build the UMMC Cancer Center, a project that will benefit the entire state. Pryor, a Southern Methodist University graduate, is a talented artist who creates on the third floor of their Eastover Drive home.
Of the Lamptons' five children, four own homes right here in Eastover: Ana Lampton Triplett (Taylor) and their daughters Lilly (6) and Dot (4) live on Quail Run. Patrick Lampton (Sophie), with kids Florie (6), Bo (4), and Swayze (2), are on Eastover Drive. Louis Lampton (Neilley) and little Hart (1.5) live on Quail Run, too.
Lewis Graeber IV, who works in operations for the A’s, lives on Restbrook Place during the off-season. Mims Graeber (Caitlin) lives in Oxford. That brings the local Eastover Lampton count to 15, and that’s not even including the extended family like niece Katie Lampton Brown (Walker), nephew Will Lampton (Janna), and niece Gwin Fike (Austin)! Their pets, Miss Buford the white lab and BIG the black-and-white cat, are neighborhood favorites. Miss Buford especially loves her strolls around McGowan Lake!
Food is a big part of Lampton family life. Robert makes a delicious seafood gumbo, Patrick mans the smashburgers at Ono Island, Ana and Taylor are known for their grilling and homemade chimichurri sauces, while Neilly is the appetizer expert, and Sophie can set up a party in a minute. The boys fish, and the Lamptons love when they come home with fish from the Gulf! When dining out locally, Pryor told Stroll Eastover that they think Jackson has some of the best food in the world!  They love supporting our local chefs and restaurants and some of their favorites include Aplos, Walkers, Sakura Bana, Bravo, Shapley's, and Tuk Tuk Boom just to name a few!
The Lamptons have a fun Sunday night ritual—ordering lots of sushi from Sakura Bana, gathering their whole crew in the kitchen, and topping the night off with ice cream and sprinkles in charming vintage green dishes once owned by Robert’s mother, Dot Lee Lampton, a former Eastover resident herself.
Whether it’s cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels, escaping to their favorite vacation spot on Ono Island, or simply enjoying the quiet streets, towering trees, and beauty of Eastover’s lakes, the Lamptons are deeply rooted in and committed to this special place they call home. Pryor told Stroll Eastover, "I love the big quiet streets to walk. I love the large trees and beauty of the lakes. There is so much of nature and God’s beauty in Eastover. We have lots of friends and family all around us.  And it's just a quick hop to Highland Village and The District!"

Pryor and Robert, thank you so much for sharing a little about your family with Stroll Eastover
