A Charleston native and Mount Pleasant–based photographer, Blair Wertz has built a vibrant business centered around what she loves most: helping busy moms capture the fleeting, joyful seasons of family life. As a mom to an energetic six-year-old boy, she knows firsthand how quickly time moves—and how challenging it can be for mothers to end up in the photos rather than behind the camera. With a playful approach and a gift for working with little ones, Blair creates bright, authentic portraits full of warmth, connection, and genuine smiles.

Screaming Color Photography specializes in family and senior sessions, as well as Blair’s signature Heirloom Portraits—a modern take on classic Southern studio portraits set against a crisp white backdrop. Offered in black-and-white or color, these timeless images are available as folios, archival prints, and beautifully framed wall art, with the goal of helping families create meaningful displays that last a lifetime.

Blair’s passion for photography began in high school with disposable cameras, and in the last few years she has honed her craft through professional training, volunteer work, and countless sessions that celebrate the heart of Lowcountry life. She is also deeply community-minded; her recent Santa Paws charity sessions at Snee Farm raised over $600 for Libby & Mace’s Place Animal Rescue.

With a blend of technical skill, heartfelt intention, and a lifelong love for Charleston, Blair is dedicated to creating portraits that tell a family’s story—beautifully, honestly, and joyfully. We’re delighted to welcome her to the Stroll DI community!
