Guiding Young Learners With Love, Purpose, and Community
Inside Providence Preschool
Tucked into the heart of Daniel Island, Providence Church Preschool offers families a warm, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. With just five classrooms and intimate class sizes capped at 12 students, Providence feels more like a close-knit community than a traditional preschool—and it welcomes families of all faiths and backgrounds.
At the core of their mission is a commitment to fostering kindness, compassion, and cooperation. Teachers intentionally model gentle guidance, loving correction, and strong character throughout the day. Children enjoy a rich variety of experiences—from music classes and chapel to exploratory play and structured learning time—all woven together with a focus on helping children become thoughtful, caring members of their classroom community.
One of the standout strengths of Providence is its devoted and long-tenured teaching staff. Unlike many preschools that see frequent turnover, Providence is blessed with teachers who return year after year. Some come from early childhood or education backgrounds, while others bring diverse experiences that enrich the program. Supported by a director, assistant director, and preschool committee, the staff works collaboratively to shape curriculum, events, and the overall preschool experience. Their shared passion is evident in every classroom.
The preschool’s facilities further enhance its welcoming atmosphere. Children enjoy two spacious playgrounds with upgraded equipment, expansive green space, a building dedicated solely to preschool activities, and even access to the church’s outdoor labyrinth. Parents frequently gather after school on the playgrounds, strengthening the sense of community that Providence values so deeply. Families also express great appreciation for the school’s consistent communication and the comfort of reliable daily routines.
Enrollment for the 2026–27 school year opens to returning families on January 12th, with new family enrollment beginning January 20th. Registration is simple and can be completed online, though tours and in-person enrollment are always welcome for those who want to experience the preschool firsthand.
