Labrador Love

Meet Remco and Ellie, the beloved Labrador Retrievers who bring joy and playfulness to Stacey Kissam and Greg Sadowski’s lives.

Ellie

Ellie, a nine-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, is affectionately known as Ellie Belly. This sweet pup holds a special place in Stacey and Greg’s hearts as she was adopted at the age of two after the passing of Stacey's dear friend Diane, who lost her battle with cancer. Stacey helped Diane choose her from a breeder in Poway when Ellie was just 8 weeks old.

Remco, a one-year-old black Labrador Retriever, is named after the World Champion Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel and was also acquired from Ellie’s breeder.

While Ellie and Remco are both Labrador Retrievers, they definitely have their own unique personalities. Ellie’s primary passion is stopping at local biscuit boxes for treats, and Remco enjoys meeting and playing with every dog he meets. Ellie is sweet and easy-going, loving all people and other dogs. Remco is mellow for his age, but at the same time, greets everyone with an “enthusiastic lick.”

Ellie's favorite toy is her squeaky ball, and she only plays fetch when treats are involved. Remco, on the other hand, has a penchant for stealing and shredding things around the house (creating future interior projects after the “puppiness” wears off). His “toy de jour” is the large GoDog plush squeaky toy.

Ellie's favorite treat is anything she can get her paws on, while Remco has a soft spot for turkey from Gary's New York Style Deli. Ellie finds joy in playing at the park and eating, while Remco enjoys running on the beach.

Stacey and Greg couldn't be happier with their furry companions. Both Ellie and Remco bring a sense of joy and playfulness into their lives, reminding them to stop and have fun on their daily walks around town. With their friendly and easygoing nature, these Labs are indeed a true delight to be around.
