A Mediterranean Revival in Cleveland Park

3415 Woodley Road NW recently has a new owner and a new inside

Entry Way, before

TTR Sotheby’s International Realty represented both the buyer and seller in this sale. (Christine Basso Fitzgerald represented the buyer). This residence stands as a testament to Mediterranean Revival architecture of the 1920s and has recently seen an interior revival of its own, led by Graybridge Group.

Standing perched on a hilltop for just over one hundred years, this breezy home has a view of The National Cathedral. The current owners felt the call to bring back its original elegance. The exterior remains its original resort-style architecture, with an arched expansive front porch and a pitched tiled roof that sends you to a different place and time. Previous owners had modified its interior floor plan and expanded allowing the new owner to focus on creating a calming space and the room for the emergence of personalized elegance. “We wanted to return its historic vibe and add mood, color, and modernized freshness. We moved the kitchen’s location from side to rear and added an interior pantry” (seen with deep green cabinetry) – current owner. All bathrooms were fully remodeled, returning to marble as was the tradition for Mediterranean architecture.

Aidan Design worked closely with Graybridge on drawings for a flowing rear kitchen filled with sunlight, an additional eat-in kitchen, a mudroom, and new side entry doors. Here is an intimate look at a few of the homes’ most special spaces.

This modern interior is at once striking and cozy. This charming residence, nestled in the heart of the city, embodies a unique blend of tradition and innovation. Paul Corrie Interiors elevated the main level living spaces with the richness of color only Farrow and Ball can deliver. He chose ultra-exciting wall coverings that are both modern and traditional.

The owners are more than pleased with the results of the team they chose to work together and bring 3415 Woodley Road NW to life, where the past dances with the present. This house stands not just as a physical structure but as a living testament to the art of preserving history while embracing the future.
