The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)

Meet Fred Robustelli

"My wife, Jill, and our twin daughters, Elena and Vanessa, are all part of this journey with me."

Which organization do you volunteer with? Who does the organization benefit?
What is the organization's mission?

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS benefits blood cancer patients and their families. Its mission is to end blood cancers.

I've been actively involved since 2004, when my mother was diagnosed with lymphoma. My family and I participate in Light the Night, the primary fundraiser for LLS, and I've served on the Executive Leadership Committee for the past three years.

Originally from Mamaroneck, my family and I have lived in Chappaqua for 27 years. My wife, Jill, and our twin daughters, Elena and Vanessa, are all part of this journey with me.

The inspiration to get involved with LLS came shortly after my mother's diagnosis when we saw an ad for Light the Night at Whole Foods in White Plains and decided to participate as a family.

I'm incredibly grateful for the support we've received over the years from various sources, including family, friends, colleagues, and others who have contributed to Light the Night.

My dream and end goal regarding my involvement with LLS is to contribute to the eradication of blood cancers.

I encourage others in the community to get involved with LLS and offer my assistance to anyone interested in joining the cause.

The most fulfilling aspect of my involvement with LLS is hearing the stories of survivors who have benefited from the organization's research and patient services. Over the past 20 years, my family and I have raised over $100,000 for Light the Night.
